方真教授是快速水解技术发明人(美国发明专利号: US 8268126; US 9115215; US 9243303)。他是Springer系列丛书“生物燃料和生物炼制”总编辑；Biotechnol Biofuels (Springer)，J Supercrit Fluid (Elsevier)和J Renew Mater副主编；Biofuel BioprodBior (IF 4.5, 2012-2018)顾问编委,以及多个国际能源期刊的编委。连续6年（2014-19）进入“中国高被引学者”能源领域榜单（Elsevier）。获2012云南省政府彩云奖，2017中国科学院优秀导师奖（中科院百篇优博论文指导教师）和2020施普林格-自然“中国新发展奖”。目前在国际著名的农业工程/能源/化工刊物发表论文超过141篇(Scopus,大多为Q1区)，其中影响因子大于9的20篇(如Nat Commun, ProgEnerg Combust, ApplCatal B, Green Chem)。作为第一发明人或本小组的发明，获23项中国和3项美国发明专利授权。新开设本科英汉双语课程《生物质和生物能源》，并在国际著名学术出版社出版英文专著19部（Springer 12部，4部专著列入Springer下载量top 25%电子书中，章节下载量达34万次）作为本科生/研究生农业工程-动力能源专业的参考书。
Prof. Zhen Fang (方真教授)
He is leader and founder of biomass group of the College of Engineering at Nanjing Agricultural University. He is the inventor of “fast hydrolysis” process. He is Editor-in-Chief of Springer Book Series – Biofuels and Biorefineries, Associate Editor of Biotechnol Biofuels (Springer), Associate Editor of J Supercrit Fluid (Elsevier), and Associate Editor of J Renew Mater. He is also editorial (advisory) board members of Biofuel BioprodBior (Wiley, Q1, 2012-2018), Energy Sustain Soc (Springer), Energy Policy Res (Taylor & Francis, 2016-2018), and Comb Chem High T Scr. Prof. Fang is specializing in thermal/biochemical conversion of biomass, nanocatalysts synthesis and their applications, pretreatment of biomass for biorefineries and supercritical fluid processes. He obtained his PhDs from China Agricultural University (Biological & Agricultural Engineering, Beijing) and McGill University (Materials Engineering, Montreal) as well as received further postdoc training in Chemical Engineering in Spain (Marie Curie Fellowship, Universidad de Zaragoza).
Prof. Fang has 247 scientific papers, books and patents etc. output in the areas of energy, including 141 journal papers (most in Q1groups, 20 papers with IF > 9 e.g., Nat Commun, ProgEnerg Combust, ApplCatal B, Green Chem), 20 books (19 in English with 343k chapter downloads, 12 by Springer), 15 book chapters, 30 papers in conference proceedings, and 23 Chinese & 3 US patents authorized. He gave 50 keynote & invited lectures in Canada and world-wide. He was listed in the “Most Cited Researchers” in China for consecutive 6 years (2014-2019) in energy by Elsevier-Scopus, and his book won 2020 “Springer-Nature China New Development Awards” in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the delivery of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He has more than 20-year international research experiences at top universities and institutes around the world, including 1 year in Spain (University of Zaragoza), 3 years in Japan (Biomass Technology Research Center, AIST; Tohoku University), and more than 8 years in Canada (McGill) in renewable energy and green technologies. He has worked for 7 years as a senior engineer in energy, bioresource utilization and engine design in industry before moving to academia. He won the “Governor’s Friendship (Caiyun) Award” in 2012 in Yunnan for his outstanding contributions to the Jatropha biodiesel industry and bioenergy to help local minority Dai people alleviate poverty,2013 “S&T Progress Award” (the first place) of Xishuangbanna Prefecture for Breeding of New Varieties of Jatropha, and 2017 Chinese Academy of Sciences “Excellent Supervisor Award” for training students.
